THE ENVIROLOK ADVANTAGE VS. RETAINING WALLS

  • Low Impact Erosion Control: Envirolok's erosion control, soil retention and vegetated retaining walls can be installed without extensive footings, backfill and drainage systems. Minimal excavation allows Envirolok to be installed in limited access areas with little impact to the land.

  • Simple Installation: Envirolok is designed for quick, easy installation. Simply set the bags, compact, install the spikes and repeat. Vegetate as you go or after installation is completed.

  • Eco-Friendly: Unlike traditional retaining walls, green living walls contribute to reducing carbon emissions, filtering pollutants, and promoting biodiversity, aligning with the sustainable ethos of solutions like Envirolok's geobag systems.

  • Aesthetic Appeal: Transforming spaces into lush, green sanctuaries, living walls offer a visually pleasing alternative with a natural ambiance.

  • Temperature Regulation: A green retaining wall's natural insulation properties help in regulating temperature.

CONNECTION

Envirolok’s connection system provides superior strength and proven durability. Our open washer design will allow plant roots to grow through, further reinforcing the system. The spikes create a quick installation process that can easily connect to advanced reinforcement systems.

BAG FILL

While other systems use compost, which breaks down quickly, causing slumping, we recommend a simple sand and topsoil mix. This mix is non-proprietary and can be customized to ensure local availability to the site.
